At the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® location in Omaha, Nebraska, our movers offered more than just moving services; they helped a customer with unpacking and arranging furniture in her new apartment.

The two young men who moved my stuff were really terrific. I asked them if they had known each other before going to work for Two Men, because they seemed to get along so well. They said, "Other people ask us that too. Why do you think that?" I told them because they conversed so well and coordinated what they were doing and
kept it light and cheerful. They said, "No - that's just our way. It makes the work go better." It certainly did. Jorge and Jose (I am pretty sure he was Jose and not Jesus, but I could be wrong) were just the best. They took great care of my things, were complimentary about how it looked in the new apartment, made helpful suggestions on how to arrange the bedrooms to maximize the space, and just generally made what could have been a long and icky day into something not bad at all. Of course, they were doing the heavy lifting! They packed my PODS container, carefully explaining that I had to have blankets for them to be able to put anything in that could be damaged. They moved iron patio furniture around to the front of the house for my moving sale, and they moved other moving sale items to the garage for me. It couldn't have gone better.

Dear Trudie:

Recently I called in for a quote to have your company move my family. I declined the offer and decided I knew best with the hired college help in place. Let me say first - that you are more than welcome to post this email anywhere you see necessary because it is a real testament that you pay for what you get.

The move was exhausting and took much longer than I had planned. I needed to take two days off work to complete the move because most of it I ended up doing myself. Part of the crew was prepared and the other half was not - that half I paid dearly for in many other ways. They tore my couch and broke a piece off my bookcase and my entertainment unit. I hired muscle not intelligence. In the end I paid more for the move by missing work, feeling exhausted, being overwhelmed and being inefficient with time, energy and money. The truck I "borrowed" was not big enough so I needed to "borrow" it the next day. Our inexperience led to wasted space on the truck as well.

I truly believe that your movers would have cut my time, energy spent and mental exhaustion in half - there is no price for that given that I run a household, am a MBA student full-time and work as well. For a few hundred dollars more this is an inexpensive price to pay.

Suffice to say I have learned my lesson on lost opportunity costs, I am calling you to schedule my next move in order to have the attention and professionalism that your "Two men and a truck" provide!

My husband and I have been blessed to have three elderly parents live into their nineties. We have, however, had to lose all of them almost all at once. The young men who Two Men and a Truck has hired to work for them are excellent. We have had four guys do four moves (one was charged to a relative of ours but was setup upon our recommendation), the most recent Sunday, July 24. If I filled out a survey it would have check marks at the highest range consistently down the page. My comments would include: the guys moved several grandfather clocks and did that very well, protecting everything carefully. They orchestrated multiple locations within most of the four moves and did so promptly.

I found myself extremely impressed by two of your Two Men and a Truck employees who unloaded two semi-trailers for me on May 3 and 10. Jason and Ryan were congenial, industrious, conscientious and determined throughout the long hours to accomplish their unwieldy task. They brought the business truck to furnish a ramp for the job and proceeded to carefully secure the ramp to the semi-trailer with the straps I provided at my request for both their personal safety as well as my peace of mind. Also, I really appreciate the care they bestowed upon my belongings as well as my newly redecorated home. I noticed too, the engineering skills they utilized both to expeditiously accomplish their task as well as to store my stuff conserving space in its destination. Both men were not only polite through the whole ordeal, but considerate too. Although unloading the second truck took a long time with the amount of loose paraphernalia, they kept on track and on task until the job was completed. I would certainly recommend both Ryan and Jason to anyone in need of the services your company provides.

My boyfriend, Doug, and I have been merging households since selling his home last month. They were both totally marvelous to work with: competent, confident, good natured and good humored. They made the experience (even through the late season snow!) come together beautifully. I just wanted to drop a note to say "Thanks" for the excellent customer service extended to me and my family during our most recent move. This move was a difficult one for the entire family as my father passed away very unexpectedly and we had a short period of time to move his belongings out of his apartment. I called Two Men and A Truck on Wednesday, March 23 to inquire about availability for Monday, March 28th. From the time I called until the end of the move on the 28th, I was treated like I was the only customer (which I know is not true!) Amy and Mia handled the office end of things (thanks to both of you) and I cannot remember the names of the two young men who moved us on the 28th, but they were great. Dad's furniture and belongings were taken to a storage unit and these 2 young men packed that storage unit like it was their personal furniture and belongings. They took great care in seeing that the furniture was not banged up and the boxes were stacked with care. I cannot tell you have grateful I am to have had such professional and courteous service during a very difficult time. I will use Two Men and a Truck in the future and I will highly recommend your services to others.
