Mary Ellen Sheets

Happy Birthday to Founder Mary Ellen Sheets who made giving back to the community a way of life for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK.

In her first year, Sheets profited only $1,000. And even though she could have used the money, she decided to give $100 donations away to 10 different local charities.

She has continued donating to the same 10 charities every year she’s been in business. Sheets is a longtime supporter of many organizations including Habitat for Humanity, United Way of America and the YMCA.

The system contines to donate 10 cents of every move to the American Cancer Society. Since its inception, more than $350,000 has been given for cancer research.

National support

Many of our franchises are selling pink boxes to support breast cancer research. A portion of the cost is then donated to a local cancer charity in each community. Ask your local TMT customer service representative how you can buy them!

Durham, N.C.

The moving team ... Movers Antoine Thompson (far left) and Carlton Morrison (center) of Durham, N.C., were recognized by their community for helping save the lives of a mother and child trapped in a buring car after an auto accident. They recently visited Home Office after moving a family from North Carolina to the Lansing, Mich. They are here with Jon Sorber, executive vice president, Hector Espinoza, Durham mover, and Melanie Bergeron, chair. Read more about Thompson's and Morrison's heroic efforts by visiting http://www.twomenandatruck.com/.

Check out this post from a happy customer ...

Bay City, Mich.

A huge fist bump goes to the Bay City/Saginaw, Mich., team who not only provide amazing service, but are also incredibly honest.

Bay City customers recently stopped CEO and President Brig Sorber at a high school football game in Okemos, Mich., about the incredible experience.

Sorber said the customers "raved" about the movers and how great they were to their parents as they moved into the next phase in their lives.

"They went went on and on,'' Sorber said. "To top it off, they said they got a call from the office to tell them they were accidently overcharged $24 and that a check would promptly be sent to them. The guy looked at me and said, 'Are you kidding me? Honest and hard working? We will NEVER use anyone else.'''

Sorber said he wasn't surprised to hear such fantastic news about the Bay City location.
