Home Office recieved this incredible letter about the Grand Rapids South, Mich., (located in Wyoming) and it's work with Toys for Tots in 2009.
Dear Sir or Madam,
There really was not space on your survey for me to convey my gratitude and appreciation for our local Two Men and a Truck. The past two years they have served as primary pick up people for our local Toys for Tots program. This year, with their help, we were able to get new toys to almost 10,000 kids in the Grand Rapids/Kent County area. Without them we could not have done this.
I wear a number of hats with this program. As the primary toy buyer I often spend $5,000 to $10,000 at a stop. This is a lot of toys at a time when retailers have little space to store them. Not once have they been unable to pick these toys up the day of purchase. Not once! Michigan is in its worst economic status in history and keeping all these retailers happy is very important to us.
As one of the organizers of our "toy bay" I was able to meet several of the young men doing the pick ups when toys were dropped off. They couldn't have been more helpful, polite or professional. You should be very proud of all these young men.
I can't say enough about your office staff as well. They are the most polite, helpful and professional people I have had the pleasure to deal with in a long time. As a 20 year dispatcher at the local Sheriff's Department I know too well how important that phone contact is.
I would personally ask that each and every one of these people receive a large raise and two more weeks of paid vacation! They have all truly earned it! In lieu of that I just want to you know what an asset this company is to our community and that they have generated nothing but good publicity and word of mouth for your company.
Sincerely,
Mindy Pierman
