Dear Friends:
On behalf of Down Syndrome of Louisville, Inc., we thank Two Men and a Truck for being so generous to donate the use of a truck and the service of your employees for our walk/run event. Your gift allowed us to use the funds raised for services instead of event expenses. Your contribution added to the success of the 12th Annual Down Syndrome of Louisville Walk/Run. We salute you for your generosity.
The Down Syndrome of Louisville Walk/Run provides a public format to educate the community of the potential of individuals with Down syndrome. This year over 3,200 walkers sent a message that people with Down syndrome are valuable citizens and have a bright future. Our mission is that all individuals with Down syndrome will have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
The $183,000+ raised will allow our organization to expand the services of our Life Long Learning Center. Our Life Long Learning Center offers comprehensive educational services including:
- Early education program
- School age creative educational enrichment program
- Teen/adult skill building program
- Adult literacy programs
- Career solutions supportive employment program
- College connection
- Educational resource/advocacy services
- Family support and networking opportunities
Respectfully,
Diana Merzweiler
Executive Director
